Welcome to Friends of Phillips FarmFor over a decade, volunteers have helped build and maintain many parts of Virgil Phillips Farm County Park. Longtime friends of the farm have created a nonprofit to better organize these efforts and related fund-raising. This website showcases current and past activities and volunteer projects, coming events, and what's on the horizon for "friends" to do at Phillips Farm. Join us!

Fall Events: October activities for individuals and families!
(2020 Festival and Cider Pressing: Cancelled)
The Friends of Phillips Farm have cancelled their annual Fall Festival this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In its place, we’re offering weekly events for you to do anytime on your own or with your family at Phillips Farm County Park. Watch for a new event to be posted each Wednesday, from September 30 through October, here and on Facebook. Hope to see you at the park! See Fall Events page.
Fall Events Week 5: Geocaching and Treasure Hunting!
For our last October adventure, it’s time to go geocaching! Print the map and descriptions (available on this page) then use your orienteering skills to find the 7 geocaches hidden throughout Phillips Farm County Park. (The map and descriptions can also be found at geocaching.com or on its app, but data connection at the park is spotty to non-existent.) We’ve also set up a Treasure Hunt for younger kids. Start at the upper gazebo, and follow the clues to find the treasure! Happy hunting!
Fall Events Week 4: Scavenger Hunt!
How good are your scavenger hunt skills? Print the scavenger hunt list then head out to Phillips Farm County Park to see how many items you can find! List available from this page.
Fall Events Week 3: It’s time to get crafty!
Let Phillips Farm County Park inspire your creative side. Bring your favorite arts and crafts supplies and draw pictures of the park in its fall colors, make nature collages from items you find on the ground, or write poems or stories about your day in the park. Don’t feel like drawing? Print out some of these pictures to color while you’re there! Pictures available from this page.
Fall Events Week 2: Bingo!
Come out to Phillips Farm County Park and play Phillips Farm Bingo! Print out a bingo card for each member of your family and see who gets bingo first. We’d love to see selfies of people and the bingo items they find on our Facebook page!
We made two sets of bingo cards, three for younger kids and three for older kids. Within a set, each card has the same items but in different orders. Download them from this page.
Fall Events Week 1: Heritage Trail
Learn more about Phillips Farm County Park by exploring the Heritage Trail!
Print out the brochure (linked here) or download it to your phone to read about the history and interesting features of the park and the Palouse area at 10 stops along the mile-long trail. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the gazebo afterward!
